Zeke has always wanna do that and after the war in episode 2 Marley was tryna phase out the shifters cos they are not absolute anymore and no flying titan , they also tryna play catch up to other countries military Arsenals and why general magats also tryna conscript more marleyans into the army(his convo with tybur’s). He snitched on his parents cos their plan was trash af and they were gonna get exposed one way or the other and then he saved the few ppl he could save by savaging the situation.

What eren did to Liberio didnt change her opinion at all, actually he gave her more reason to hate Paradis.
