btw hbo max if it stays an independent streaming will most likely cost less ideally since it would be loosing discovery content and s*** from tbs and tnt

WB owns the rights for some stuff on there, most likely outcome is Netflix swallowing HBO max

It's insane a streamer is buying an entire Studio but we've arrived at this hellish reality

think hbo max stays as a standalone streamer for sometime and they will just offer a bundle package. If its all on netflix nobody is going to willingly pay close to $40 if not more for just 1 streamer

they tried that with the discovery merger and the two eventually got folded. Actually iirc it was almost immediate

    yea you right
price was fairly the same as max before. Can't see Netflix being just a couple dollars more with WB content

S2 of the Pitt and we have to watch them strategically name drop 2 Netflix shows and a product per episode via a "studio" executive mandate

Discovery was a merger though. The point was to make 1 unified company. Discovery+ wouldn't make sense as an isolated service.

This is closer to the Disney situation where they held on to Hulu for a few years and then slowly put the pieces together

It’s gonna get to close to around $40 a month maybe not right away but eventually. They’re getting HBO content and as new DC and other WB movies come to Netflix price will keep raising

and they force villeneuve to hint at a netflix "universe" via Will Byers' corpse in a post credit scene or they pull funding and also Chani is lowkey Rue's evil twin (also via the "studio" executive mandate) and also there's a car placement in there for some reason
