Netflix owns the egyptian theatre and they screen classics there weekly.
They now have to the power to reinvigorate theatres but on the other side of the same coin this could destroy the industry as well
i feel like theatres will always be around in some form but the landscape of the industry is changing for sure

If anything this could breathe more life into indie filmmakers and destroy the hollywood machine which isnt completely a bad thing
