who said i had issues
no that's the thing! you haven't gotten broken down by ATLAS PROJECTS enough to really notice them like op has, you wouldn't get it...its a cult style joke
@op I really recommend you try something called the New Warrior Training Adventure by the ManKind Project. It would provide you with another perspective on these types of things, and at a fraction of the price. (MKP is a non profit fwiw) I have no idea if what you're talking about is predatory in any wa or leans towards scam/cult, and frankly it's neither here nor there. I'm glad you had a very positive experience. I mentioned what I did above because it was one of the most powerful experiences of my life eclipsing all my psychedelic journeys, I feel nearly all men could benefit from it, and having personally done it I can vouch for it's authenticity.
If everyone’s opinions itt weren’t bothering you, you wouldn’t feel the need to respond

F*** yeah, thanks for the perspective I’ll check it out! I’m all about self-improving in any way possible
Atlas is also a non-profit though. The ceo makes 1 dollar a year.
Also I know you’re a respected member of the community here @plants. it’s funny that your project got hate on Reddit too, but I know that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have merit bc I’m open-minded and see the benefit of these things. It’s truly what you make of it
Just dropped the last of my savings on this bih

Yes many years of it. Therapists tip toe through your issues, for me Atlas confronted them head on. It’s not easy and it’s not for everyone but for my entire cohort, we came out stronger

it was my therapist who recommended it, as it was something he did in the past. there are independent groups that meet weekly organized by members who have attended these things and they are where serious introspective and therapeutic work is done. real deep s***. I've never felt as safe, supported, but pushed to be better as a man than in those groups. since I've moved countries it's been something really lacking in my life actually.

amen bro. ppl will hate on anything don't let it bother u. fwiw the price of the NWTA is like 800 but there's sponsorship money available to lower the cost. the people who run MKP don't want price to be the reason someone can attend

A 2007 Houston Press article34 detailed criticisms of the ManKind Project. Anthropology associate professor Norris G. Lang35 said that some of the groups' exercises that he attended were "fairly traumatic" and were "dangerous territory for an unprofessional"; and Anti-cult advocate Rick Alan Ross said that The ManKind Project appears to use coercive mind-control tactics, such as limiting participants' sleep and diet, cutting them off from the outside world, forcing members to keep secrets, and using intimidation.[34
A 2007 wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of Texan Michael Scinto charged that MKP was responsible for his suicide.34 The parents said that he had struggled with alcohol and cocaine addiction in the past. Scinto was a 29-year-old adult who had been sober for a year and a half prior to his attending MKP's New Warrior Training Adventure in July 2005. Two days after Scinto returned from the NWTA retreat, he sought psychiatric help at Ben Taub Hospital. He subsequently resumed drinking and taking d****, and he then committed suicide.34 The parties settled in 2008. The terms of the settlement were not publicly disclosed, although a copy of the court documents were posted online by Warren Throckmorton,39 and aspects of the settlement were reported in the press.4041
