It’s second to Vince right now but we got a lot more heat coming. It’ll be interesting to see how things shake out at the end of the year

It’s not that the young generation is bad, it’s that Pusha T is so good. I’ve never seen a rapper be in the game for 20 years who actually keeps improving their music. I think this album and Daytona are his best two solo projects yet, and at this point you would expect him to be well, well washed up and lazy. Hoping he can keep this upward trajectory up and cement his legacy as the guy who kept getting better and better, hoping he does that madlib album next.

    And from hook out now

  • Apr 23, 2022

Pusha is one of the greatest of all time so yeah I always expect him to drop a legit AOTY candidate

“besides kendrick who is going to keep rap alive? is it hopeless?”

    like cmon yall

Kendrick d***riders are the biggest cornballs

Mr Morale gonna be a win/win situation, if it’s great we are getting blessed with top tier music and if it’s bad or mid we gonna enjoy Kendrick d***riders doing the biggest mental gymnastics to defend it

How you gonna compare Push to them tho?

He been doing this for 20+ years, Has classics and is best friends with some of the best producers to ever live

Compared to new guys who have none of that and probably just started making music like 3 - 5 years ago

I will give Push huge credit on the fact he’s been in it so long and hasn’t fallen off and got out of touch like a lot of other older artists

Pusha just released another great album, as expected. But, do we really have to rely on artists approaching aarp to continue to represent the genre? I’m glad to hear music from him ofc but where are the younger artists? The production value, lyrics etc on pusha’s album are so much higher than what’s being released by most artists that are younger, who is going to step up?

In order for a genre to last we need great artists in every generation. The most recent generation might have been the best ever and had their share of legends, but the younger generation has not had the same success. Who from this new generation besides Kendrick is going to keep rap alive? Is it hopeless?

Look, you don’t expect a young actor to win an award for best actor. Mostly because the best roles that a male actor can get are for middle aged men. There’s a reason actors like DiCaprio or Pitt are getting better roles. It’s because they’re old enough to have more dynamic characters. You can’t have a completely complex and dynamic young character. Or you can, it’s just really really rare. These “young artists” aren’t failing. They just don’t have enough life experience to share or some of them just don’t have interesting ideas to bring to the table. Hence why people like Pusha, Drake, Ye, Kendrick, Jay-Z, and more are still running it.

I’m not saying it’s a conspiracy. Where did I even imply that? It’s just an inconsistent critique.

They both do a s*** ton of name dropping. Game gets bagged on for it but people act like Pusha T is above reproach.

I very specifically said game gets s*** on for lots of other things, and deservedly so. Learn to read.

Cause The Game name drops like 5x more than push lol
