There’s no way the Vince album better than this. I like that album, but there’s just no way.

Maybe more consistent (debatable) but less interesting overall

Some good artists on there ngl but ain't none of them going to do s*** outside of their little internet bubble and some of them are just downright atrocious to begin with (Ken Carson
)
Names y'all bringing up itt to counter are depressing af
Someone said Ken Carson is up next ayo let me check out who's popping in K-Pop I refuse to live in a world where Ken Carson has fans

op’s point aint really worth countering because it’s just foolish
“besides kendrick who is going to keep rap alive? is it hopeless?”
like cmon yall
Hey this thread made me finally actually spin the whole Saba album, so technically, I won
op never listened to call me if you get lost
That s*** so mid
Shouldve said Flower Boy
That s*** so mid
Shouldve said Flower Boy
yeah but cohesive production and rappity rap with lyrics and s*** is what op described
With that being said I truly believe that music is actually in a good place right now. A lot of newcomers are doing their thing and the "OGs" are eager to prove that they still have it
if we still considering kendrick and his peers the new generation then this thread really don’t make sense
most importantly though
this is the kind of thread that only a 30+ year old white man would make
Thanks
Pusha just released another great album, as expected. But, do we really have to rely on artists approaching aarp to continue to represent the genre? I’m glad to hear music from him ofc but where are the younger artists? The production value, lyrics etc on pusha’s album are so much higher than what’s being released by most artists that are younger, who is going to step up?
In order for a genre to last we need great artists in every generation. The most recent generation might have been the best ever and had their share of legends, but the younger generation has not had the same success. Who from this new generation besides Kendrick is going to keep rap alive? Is it hopeless?
nah that s*** was bad
Listened to it on the drive home from work, eh it was coo.
That Joker laugh adlib all over the album wasn’t hitting. Vince, Saba, and Earl definitely had better albums. I gotta relisten to Denzel, Conway, and Benny.
