I am pretty excited to get it. I definitely could've just went with the 13" M1 Air for a bit more than half the price, but I wanted the nicer mini LED display + the higher refresh rate.

Was hoping to have it delivered tomorrow, but looks like I gotta wait until after Labor Day

Yeah, that’s what I’m still expecting and hoping for. It seems like a lot of the rumor is based around the fact that case manufacturers have marked names for both the Pro Max and Ultra, but apparently that was only because we still don’t know the actual name of the phone.

The person who broke the rumor still insists that two versions of a Max/Ultra phone were tested, but they too believe only one will actually be released this year.

edit: just saw Gurman debunked the rumor and apparently the notion that we’re getting an Ultra at all this year.

They’re just gonna make the Pro Max even more elite vs. the rest of the lineup and rebrand it as iPhone Ultra to differentiate the marketing. Name change might not come until next year tho
