unless you plan on having good integration with Apple devices and something pretty you're probably better getting the UltraFine
yeah most likely for most ppl
I mean $300 over the Ultrafine for the IO, design and speakers ain’t bad 🤷♀️
we will have to see reviews to judge but specs are saying the Apple panel is the same it just gets 16% brighter which imo is definitely worth the $300 with the speakers/IO
why it seems like a bad deal to me is cause of the old 5k iMac.. it was just such a good deal compared to this, wonder if they will make one anymore
like you got an entire computer for $1800 now you get a monitor for $1600
Mac Studio looks crazy on paper, but it honestly feels a bit like the worst of both worlds between the Mini and a future M1 Pro. Hefty price tag with no modularity and base storage is still under a TB. I guess the aim is to capture the pro market in the interim between now and when the M1 Pro arrives, but $4k base for the pro tier without any upgradability is f***ing rough.
Meanwhile, I’d be interested at $2K for the base specs if there was upgradability, but as it is I’d rather just stick with my 16GB M1 mini at a much more reasonable price point and wait until the mini gets a spec bump again.

yeah wouldn’t surprise me if most people get the Mac Studio just to slap whatever monitor they already own.
new iphone se you say
i’ll cop im still using the 2020 model
wait it’s still using the 8?
they're really killing the 27 inch iMac / iMac pro line that i've been waiting on since the beginning of this thread

I have a theory that they've boiled down the iMac to its simplest form: a consumer all-in-one with a single processor and size option. I think they will expand it back out from here - I wouldn't be surprised at all if the 2nd-gen got the option to spec it with a Pro processor, and a larger 27" screen size option. In terms of M1 Max / Ultra I think those are staying in the Mac Studio & Mac Pro desktops

Significantly better speakers / camera / build quality / materials / QC
Put in an order for an 11" iPad Pro. I usually don't buy mid-cycle but with the Air not getting ProMotion and the 11" Pro apparently not getting mini-LED this year anymore I figured it was time for me to jump in
is the 13 Mini worth it?
Bought it for my wife she loves it. Great phone if you like smaller form-factors
Y’all think an updated (M2) Macbook Pro will drop this year?
Was thinking of coping the 16 inch that dropped last fall but wasn’t sure if one is gonna be dropping this year?

Oh okay so just the 13 inch? That’s way too small. So if I get the 16inch, I should be good?

Perhaps next year, but who knows. The M1 is a beast though. What are you gonna use it for?

I wanted to finally start making beats like I’ve always wanted to.
Plus maybe get into photography. So perhaps editing photos and maybe even edit film since my camera has 4K video
But mainly producing / making beats
Just got the 13 Pro Max
I wanna add a 3rd party keyboard for GIFs but it won’t show up. Only one of them show up. Any reason why?

I have a 13 mini and LOVE IT. I don’t want to go back to bigger phones again. You would get used to the screen size just after a day or two of using it, I would say if that’s your biggest concern it’s a non issue. The main drawback is battery, it’s not terrible but you’ll have to charge every night. Also since the keyboard is smaller, typing isn’t as accurate like on a bigger screen.
