    Yes

    Funny thing is;
In the 25yrs i tried my best to seem normal i always got bullied/teased for being autistict

Then i got diagnosed at 26
And started doing myself, specially with music(got synesthesia)
Just being my full autistic self and nobody has ever said or spotted
Even when i talk to fellow autistic people on da streets, they can never tell

I don't think people here associate autism with African people in da first place specially not in arts

But most musicians do have it

This got me worried ngl because I mostly show no signs of autism or ADHD but sometimes I get teased about it too if I zone out or do something goofy or differently or have an awkward interaction like I approach certain things differently but I don't wanna check it because even if I do have it then it's pretty high functioning I do anything with no limitations whatsoever so if I get diagnosed it might just become an excuse for me to slack out or withdrawn especially socially or just feel overwhelmed whenever I do something out of my comfort zone

Asperger’s means your anti social and hate being around people?

No but it can lead to that. Its moreso communicating differently

Yeah but I haven’t been diagnosed despite seeing a psychologist for hyperactivity throughout my childhood. I’m 28 and can’t make friends or flirt with a woman

If you’re still struggling to have basic conversations and be somewhat charming/likeable at 28, you’re neurodivergent

Normies live and breathe relationships and just know how to bond with people on a primal level

It’s just her though. Every dog has his day. plus our relationship has zero depth, we can barely hold a text conversation

Even if that's true you're doing better than a lot of men

Got diagnosed with aspergers before they "retired" it like 9 years ago.

I love my own company, and can go months without seeing people though, so not much of a problem for me

Yeah, as I've gotten older I've completely given up on masking and speak with no filter now (no bullying of course).

What does that look like? I don’t think I “mask” much outside of forcing small talk and eye contact

Same here, some people were able to pick out I was on the spectrum tbh. Weird since others coildnt tell, depends on the person’s knowledge of the condition I guess

I guess doing "socially acceptable" things (Small talk, going out with friends etc), the whole thing of socialising is a game to me, none of it is natural to me.
