Strange to say when 3 and 4 were his best and most successful and Cruel Summer wouldn't be the same without him
not the same? sure, could have potentially been better even considering that prime Kanye f***ing West lol
Ye hates Sean cause he realized hes actually garbage like 2 albums into his deal lmao
Ye hates anybody willing to disagree with him
Not really GKMC was basically done when they brought it to Dre and he said it's perfect and doesn't need anything, he only helped with mixing on some songs but it still was mostly Ali
Thats not trye, check Valentines responses
Nope. He only mixed Real. Terrace Martin talked about it a week ago

Other than that the only other parts he contributed to the album was his verse on Compton and The Recipe which was tacked on as a bonus after the fact
Nah my understanding is that he mixed a lot of the album and put his hands on various other things:
“Knowing that made me feel good. Like, ‘Man this is Dr. Dre!’ He knows all the frequencies. He knows what pockets to put all the sounds in and he knows what’s missing. When the full album is done he can just hear and know it’s missing some hi-hats here. He can make you get back and ad-lib. There’s no one better than Dre.”
I'm curious about the Sideline Story behind the scenes. Had to have been a chaotic time for J Cole
“In a room with Stargate, that s*** was like detention”
A collab album for Jay Electronica
A placement on BP3 for J Cole
And this is where we get to the core of things
Ye hates Sean cause he realized hes actually garbage like 2 albums into his deal lmao
After hearing J Coles side of things and how bad the label aka Jay Z f***ed up his debut Id be curious to hear Seans situation.
I mean he said himself that Detroit is one of his best projects and a lot of people agree, he also said that was all him / his team with no label politics

Nah based on the info that came out years later
Sean and Ye was a financial issue were debts wasn’t being paid
I think that has more to do with Ye turning on Sean over the years even if we didn’t know what was happening behind the scenes then

Ali who they talking about in that Terrace clip specifically said that Dr. Dre redid the entire album from scratch. Terrace literally said he walked in the studio at the later Dre sessions lol. he probably just not saying the entire story plus it’s a clip
I think Cole worked out as far as success goes, but I think Hov really wanted to mentor Drake under the Roc. Just like Ye was still under Roc-A-Fella in the early 10s, Drake would've been under that same banner I bet. Cole got put under Roc Nation, like any other artist under Hov.

You should listen to the inevitable podcast he did. Basically Jay Z was turning him into a cuck for a single and he went through the lowest period in his life chasing a radio hit and details why Sideline Story sounds drastically different from everything before that.
Drake and Coles squads were all chopping it up at a Jay Z Lebron event and told Drake to give Cole a hit in front of everyone thats how bad it got

HOV wanted Ye, Wayne, Drake and Cole all under Roc Nation to push Tidal more than likely then that’s what led to the fallout between Wayne and Birdman because Jay put Wayne on game. there’s so much history last 10-15 years lol

If Hov got Ye, Drake, Wayne and Lupe under Roc like he wanted that would’ve been some infinity stones type s*** but who knows if they would’ve blew up the same way
Jay has more monthly listeners on Spotify and if he dropped an album today it would overshadow The Fall Off
Go to Jay Zs top songs on any platform and theyre all songs he’s featured on besides New York
Tbh I think Jay Z secretly has protected himself from the album sales talk his last couple albums through the Tidal deal and being in control of those numbers to the Samsung deal and “selling a million copies”

Yeah, I think Cole was going to always be on Roc, but if he had to trade Cole for Drake, he would've did it with no hesitation, even before Thank Me Later. Wayne on Roc wouldn't have worked, I don't care.

it’s kinda crazy how much richer Jay would be right now if Sprint didn’t fold. Tidal woulda sold for 10x what it sold lol
that nigga definitely finessed the numbers tho you right
At the end of the day it's just business it's the same as Cole singing his own artists and not doing a lot for them and Cole is more relevant today musically than Jay
What do you mean Cole is not doing a lot for his signees? I feel like he does
ridiculous, dre skimmed it and inserted his horrible headphones verse
So you’re pretending this wasn’t a thing:

j cole was always a blueprint 3 type rapper that's why he sucks so bad
Blueprint 3 is goated tho

I think he's mistaken because ali said dre helped with the mix
He said this about swimming pools
“That song was actually fun to mix. Me and Dr. Dre mixed that one. The beat is real open so you can kind of do whatever you want to it, as far as messing with the vocals. So I was just playing with some delays, some reverbs, tweak it out make it sound real eerie.
He also said there was early versions of the album that was different before dre came in

I slightly agree. He’s been bulletproof with number ones and going platinum but i think it’s more that he’s about his money and he’s guaranteeing that he’s X amount of money off each album
