The Darkest AngelFader said Drake is his 3rd favorite rapper and he doesn't even know what packs dropped or when they dropped. It's pointless to quote him because he's either ignorant on Drake's entire discography or here to critique in bad faith. Think about it, Drake's dropping gold nuggets on Tuesday nights, who in their right mind is even questioning a decision like that. Let the artist paint and do not disturb the process until the piece is complete
I feel like these 3-pack drops are all cutting room floor tracks. Songs he knows won't make it onto any future projects and that's why he's giving them out for free. The problem is that you have idiot rap fans who think him doing that means he's desperately trying to to score a hit. I don't understand that logic when:
1). These songs are having their releases sabotaged by Drake himself.
2). They're getting zero push either via being serviced to radio/getting music videos.
3). They're the opposite of what he's said his next album would be with/about.

It did the numbers it did because earlier in the year, Drake had delayed CLB and fans were desperately anticipating new music from him.
People desperately want to push narratives that Kendrick has destroyed Drake's public standing and that's why none of his songs post-beef are "sticking" on the charts but that's inaccurate. 2024 was meant to be Drake's "off year". He typically has one every 5 years (see 2014, 2019) and in those years, he usually sticks to dropping very little new music and then gears up to start another 5-year run the following year. The beef cancelled those plans. He was already showing signs of fatigue from listenership with For All the Dogs and that's understandable because his output so far this decade has been insane:
2020: Dark Lane Demo Tapes, LNCL & 11 features
2021: SH2, CLB & 8 features
2022: Honestly, Nevermind, Her Loss & 6 features
2023: For All the Dogs, SH3 & 6 features
2024: 4 diss tracks and multiple features/loosiesThere's nobody who is gonna drop that much music and not risk overexposure. That's where he is right now.
I don't mind the new music but I don't expect them to do anything because people have simply had their fill of Drake for the decade. It also doesn't help that he's actively sabotaging the releases of these 3-pack drops. Basically, don't expect any real momentum for any new Drake music till he drops his next project.
I really don't think Drake did much to push anything after For All The Dogs outside of the Family Matters video

They're all fake fans. Most of them are so obsessed with his new music not doing numbers because the only Drake songs they know are the Hotline Blings and the One Dances.

Don’t people claim everyone hates drake is a secret mega fan who keeps tabs on it all. Wouldn’t not keeping up with his releases and not knowing his release patterns expose them for being… not a fan….which is…what they’re clearly acting from the place of to begin with?
