i have all 3 seasons of chihayafuru on my torrents folder and im just waiting for the moment s*** clicks and i get in the mood for it
ping pong really not interested tbh but i might give it a couple eps
ive watched the first 20 eps of hajime no ippo but i need it in hd and all i can find is 2007 youtube tier 480p
Also if you liked the character design/art in run w the wind def check out tsurune. Archery anime. was really good imo.
the way the characters are drawn reminded me of run w the wind
I just watched hajime on YouTube. I think it might have been the show that got me back into anime last year.
That animephape? site @orangejuice put me onto might have all the shows in good quality streaming
i really fw hajime thats why i wanted the hd version but if i cant find it i will just tap into that old school anime aesthetic
in run with the wind the moment where haiji collapsed was the biggest jumpscare ive ever gotten from an anime
ive heard slam dunk is a must read
i dunno what baby steps is about tho
u heard right, a classic in every sense and still holds up. im not even that into basketball and still thoroughly enjoyed reading slam dunk
baby steps is a tennis one that has a focus on romance as well. visually its kinda mid but still an enjoyable watch imo

if u can, id say try going like 4-5 volumes before deciding if u wanna drop it. it takes a little bit of time before these mfs finally start playing real basketball games so the start can be kinda slow, but once u do get to the games, its almost nonstop for the rest of it.

@lilkuya bro u gonna fw sister is all you need.. college/work anime w perv humor
bout to finish tonite
Bumping this up
i have a soft spot for characters like haiji
Just finished chihayafuru season 1. Was very good
I feel like I cant watch regular cartoons now after having seen anime
Ive been tryna watch the more serious cartoons like Avatar, Samurai Jack, Young Justice etc but they dont hit like an anime does
It's because anime isn't aimed towards kids 6-12 in general. Shonen definitely aims heavy to 10-15 year Olds. Cartoons in the west are still kids shows. Netflix the only place really for young adult to adult animation.
I would say try out owl house or infinity train for something different in cartoons.
Rewatched Gunbuster on a whim and I love it even more than before
Crazy how great Anno was even in his directorial debut
Finished reading tokyo ghoul;re I'd give it like 79/100
Overall thoughts: Ending felt a bit rushed, there were a lot of characters that did a bunch of evil s\*\*\* and had no repercussions for the things they did. Mutsuki was killing and eating people, probably breaking all kinds of laws, and just has her years of trauma and insanity fixed by the power of friendship? That ain't sit right with me at all. There was no explanation of how Ayato managed to get out of there being surrounded by a horde and likely ending up in a flood of monster goop like Kaneki. Human society all of a sudden becoming buddy buddy in relations with Ghouls when they've feared and been hunted by them for like a 100+ years is just too perfect. I get wanting a happy ending, but some s\*\*\* was just too complex to get simplified to such a degree. Aside from that fights were okay, kind of hard to follow at times, Kaneki's final form what pretty cool, clowns went hard.
Oh and f\*\*\*ing Eto was back alive again and I don't think there was even a mention of what her character went on to do. The inability to leave characters dead was also kinda weak, but is what it is.
Anyway which of these should I read next

Anyway which of these should I read next

land of the lustrous definitely
can also vouch for grand blue, vinland saga, slam dunk, and fire punch

alita's dope and its pretty short too if i remember correctly. the ending is kinda rushed tho since the creator was feeling ill later on and wasn't sure if he could finish the ending.
slam dunk & GTO are classics as well
