Oh yeah I was like this is anime Game of Thrones at first lol I wonder how I'll feel about the ending

When it's all said and done it might be better than GOT although I did love a lot of GOT characters

They can be great as shown with the first like 8 episodes of wep but that didnt end up good, tpn was trash and horimiya was just mid, i was disappointed with them the most this year, although i have to say the only new shows that started this year i loved have been nomad and what ive seen so far of kobayashi s2

I never watched a single episode of GOT cause it seemed like LOTR watered down version

I might get in the mood to watch it one day tho who knows

Horimiya I think it’s the source material and same with Bunny Girl (that s*** sucks)

WEP I completely blame the studio that anime could’ve been one of my all time favs if done right

I don’t know about LOTR but there’s no journey in GOT mostly just character arcs in different cities of the world that intertwine eventually, a lot of drama and world building

Seasons 1-6 are really good the final two is where it falls

The reason I called it anime GOT is because they were always surprising and didn’t spare main characters

Also because of the medieval setting

I heard that horimiya manga was different and cloverworks skipped some s*** and kinda f***ed up the pacing but maybe i heard wrong

I was so caught up in the Horimiya hype I was like they’re so cute I thought it will be the new Clannad

But yeah mostly nothing happens

I'm trying to think which anime got me like that and I think the closest thing is Steins;Gate

I think for some people this is the case but there were most definitely many parts in the last chapter that contradicted things said/done/ect in the 50 chapters leading up to it. That's why I took issue with it.

Given, like I said, while I thought it was a bad ending, I don't think it detracts from AOT being an all time great show. Like 99% of that s*** was great, I'm not gonna trash it off the last chapter.

I would recommend PsychoPass and say don't watch Season 2.
You could honestly probably get away with reading a synopsis and just watch season 3, it's not like Shimotsuki or Hinakawa do anything impactful in season 2 anyway.

Man now I'm mad just thinking about it. So f***ing awful.

The manga even falls off after a certain point but the anime (as far as I know) still didn't even animate the best manga arc which was sad as fuuuck

Apparently it skipped over it and “ended” the story by just telling the audience what happens (without this arc)

The thing is S1 leaves room for S2 but then that season is so stupid so you have to pretend they just won in S1 or whatever

still needs something to put it into really good/great territory for me, but that s*** has been consistently enjoyable from the start. been thinking about reading the manga
