It's mostly cause of its anime adaptation that got people attention. Added the aesthetic, the lore and how they intertwine with their tradition and culture is smth that every japanese could have an appreciation for, it's been a minute since a title rep their culture to such degree

People are still talking about it there's TikTok memes and vtubers singing covers. Oh yea the OP song was huge too

Combining all of this with it being in a wildly accessible genre (shounen) and being one of, if not the best animated show the year it came out, it was kinda the perfect storm.

finished oregairu, overall felt very ehhh about it but at least it was short with enough cute moments to keep me watching the whole way through

took a look at the oregairu shin summaries though and that s*** looks god awful cannot wait for the s***storm that occurs if they let that air as an anime (i think some of it might be in the new OVA?)

I think all of it is going to be an OVA. Really not vibing with Shin at all. Wataru reversed so much character development for cash, which well, can't fault him for... but it still sucks.

I finished nagatoro’s manga in like a week and this is by far my favorite rom com tbh. That first episode is not an indicator of what this series really is .

Killua is dope af, but i always felt like they could’ve done more with his character, made him a lil more three dimensional. Khun just got more going on and more personality
