Might be a tired discussion but do you guys care that the majority of anime is based around teenagers and/or high school? I don’t think it’s a problem tbh. I’ve seen people complain about it before, but it never really bothered me, mostly because if I still watch a lot of adult live action.

Only semi-related to the topic at hand and I'm kinda talking to myself here, but I never really thought comparing sports shows to each other made much sense. I think when you break down most sports shows they either fall into the action, shounen, coming-of-age, or drama categories. The sport itself is kinda irrelevant and it just happens to be the activity that the creator decided the characters will express themselves with. Haikyuu has more in common with shounens than it does with Ping Pong the Animation for example.

wish it was more college anime’s. college age is so much more interesting + less restrictions/can do more at that age + not as uncomfortable when they do panty shots

also just recently found out the age of consent in Japan is like 13 years old which explains a lot of the perv/pedo s*** in high school anime’s smh
