The episode had some interesting ideas but it does nothing to build on them. The pacing is bad, there are a lot of nonsensical decisions the characters make and there were a few asspulls

Tpn was supposed to come out in 2020 so it was probably 90% done by last year, the anime is just hot garbage

At least cloverworks has wet ess p**** and horimiya to balance it out

not gonna speak on anything else going on with TPN bc im not watching but im hearing that at least for the recap episode its being done bc of production issues, otherwise it makes no sense to have one for an 11 episode season.

same guy who says this also says that the other cloverworks shows arent in a good spot as well due to similar issues, though not 100% sure on the accuracy of the source. hopefully this recap somehow gives all three shows the buffer they need to finish strong

It’s sumn different and unique. It’s an original story and hits on different topics like suicide, self harm, etc so it’s more on the serious side. It has a supernatural setting and there’s a lot of hidden details and what not. It’s a bit hard to explain but there’s been some ppl saying there’s a Satoshi Kon feel to it so if you’ve seen something like perfect blue you might find it interesting

Blou knows a lot more than most people when it comes to animation and I enjoy the stuff they tweet (especially when they highlight certain scenes and credit who the animator was), but I wouldn't say they're infallible.

WEP's production schedule so far has looked pretty good based off of the credits. BUT, episode 4 had 1 animation director, 3 animation director assistants, and 23 key animators. Compare this to episode 1 which had 1 animation director, and 13 key animators. More animators = bad, because its a sign they need the extra help to get everything finished on time. Though if we're being honest, WEP's numbers are still OK, if you want numbers on a real production disaster, Yuri on Ice averaged 49 key animators and 9 animation directors per episode. If you're ever interested in this stuff, you can basically just look at the credits of each episode during the ED and figure it out yourself whether the schedule is healthy or if the show is barely hanging on. The only real hurdle is being able to recognize what symbols stand for animation director and what symbols stand for key animator.

Also, you can have production issues and still brute force a decent product through sheer talent of staff/freelancers or through crunching. AoT definitely has production issues: they outsourced an episode this season to Cygames and I believe another episode was finished the Saturday before airing.
