I had hope for TPN

Hunter X Hunter overrated IMO.

Every arc except Chimera Ant and Yorknew are around above average at best, and even then Chimera had some pacing issues. It’s a great series but not insanely amazing.

Care to explain why? The hunter exam arc imo was great at introducing us to the hxh society and characters and it does a good job at showing us the soul of the series. Heavens arena is great at explaining nen but i can see you not enjoying it cause its not extremely important. Greed island is a hit or miss and while i think its my least favorite it still entertaining and acts as a good bridge between heavy arcs like yorknew and chimera. Election arc to me is also great but thats cause i love pariston and leorio and i know not many do

Yea I definitely agree that all the arcs are enjoyable and have soul but I was kind of underwhelmed after seeing all of the “10/10, HxH best battle Shonen” everywhere. Only the first 2 I listed were “special” to me, Chimera Ant arc really impressed me the most. Overall I’d rate the whole series at a 8.5/10-9/10.

Its cool, i personally think its a 10/10 despite its not perfect every episodes but we all have different tastes!

I see it as a 10/10 for being better than most anime I ever watched

It has flaws (like the overused narration for me) but also amazing moments and great writing, world building and action so it evens out

Hot take but Hunter Exam is my 2nd fav arc, right after Yorknew City

Its real solid think its just more people having it as the best of shonen in that format so a 10 the simple rating it'd get

One of the best soundtracks ever put to an anime and its visually gorgeous

I do think it suffers a bit from being too short and there are some dumb moments in the middle but ultimately it is still one of my fav series from the 2010s
