the novel is exactly what i wanted from the first season (not that i read)

u ever get around to watching sao alicization? its not quite as good as sao stans gas it up to be but i did enjoy it a lot more than s1 and it hits a decent stride in scratching that fantasy / battle shonen itch

i was interested in following the first part as it began airing but i forgot to keep up sometime after kirito got perma-sent to the other world or something like that

if its good i'll probably binge watch it one of these days when i have less on my plate

ehh idk if id say the show overall was good (WoU2 in particular was a trainwreck of an ending) but the moment to moment action and worldbuilding was good enough to at least keep me watching till the end, so make of that what you will.

to me, the best season of SAO that's aired so far would be either SAO2 or the GGO alternative one, but alicization's vibe is pretty different from the rest and it's worth taking a look at if you ever gave a f*** about the franchise.

though the vn is still the best way to experience the story by far
