God of high school is throwing out some interesting fights. I thought it was going to be a straightforward martial arts anime but it’s basically jojo stands in a tournament setting which is fine

doesn’t stay like that for long either, it gets even better just wait on it it takes influence from a ton of popular anime/manga

Not really f***in with it that much tbh, some fights be ending pretty suddenly too

Shippuden, Dragon Ball, Hunter x Hunter to name a few

that’s kinda how the first arc is until the dope ass ending, lots of characters coming and leaving quickly and s***

it’s really just meant to world and character build with a bit of foreshadowing

1st 20 or so episodes was a complete rip off from Naruto but ayyy

Once you get to the Royal Knights arc it hits a bit different

Yessir its not the best shonen but i love it. Been letting it build up cuz i think theyre still in filler but when the next arc comes around...

Its shown it can be a top tier shonen if they emphasize the storyline more

ok so you’re saying you don’t really understand borrowed power? where exactly are you at in the series? cuz i don’t think the anime has made it to the point where they really explain it

but basically there’s two types of fighters in GoH. martial artists who rely on their own strength, and power borrowers that borrow power from a specific god or celestial entity which you see in the form of the Jojo stand-like abilities.

Okay so these entities are just kinda there and whichever one you borrow from is based on like your personality or something? I guess I couldn’t tell if it was like the person unlocking something from within kinda like bankai in bleach or if they’re actually communicating with something external. If it’s the latter I’m curious if they have their own motives / autonomy, do they exert influence like naruto’s tailed beasts or do they mostly stay out of it. You don’t have to answer all of that if it’s explored more later on, I’m curious so I’ll def keep watching and maybe read too. I just got to the part where yoo Mira unlocked her charyeok
