yeah hajime no ippo as well as slam dunk was on my mind when i was thinking of sports anime that might be better that i aint seen yet, but at least from an outside perspective the impact is hard to deny

haikyuu the manga is a complete product though anime looking like it'll be a complete adaptation too eventually unlike slam dunk
