Aminé is objectively corny and it makes no sense on paper but the dude really works for me

Kaytra’s bodying the production and he’s meeting every beat so far (except Westside imo)

Thought Aminé was an industry plant few years ago. But this dude continues to surprise me

    Westside so good

Oddly enough that was one of like three songs I wasn't really feeling

Maybe it will grow on me

    amine doesn’t move me

Amine seems like a less interesting big Sean without a patented flow

Do not like Anime, heard his big track and it sounded like a bunch of trendy formulas thrown into the one uncreative corny track

The track Rebuke off this album is also a shameless Dilla bite, like they tried to do an homage but it's so bad

here's a snippet of the dilla joint

Amine is another one of those dudes who catches unnecessary hate from the terminally online.

Not completely unlike Jack Harlow, Cordae, Teezo Touchdown. I think the KTT userbase is aging out.

Y'all with your 2010s rappers are just as bad as old dust heads with the 90s rappers.

As much as I agree that amine has some corny bars, y'all gotta stop over a***yzing them like this is supposed to be a lyrical rap project. It's lighthearted fun music u can throw on in the background while doing other s***. Good for the summer. Don't over think it.

I don't think anyone's expecting profound lyricism from this guy. I just find that it jumps to the surface how unlikable it is

Bringing up age and these other artists you sound like youth defending music like it's their generation's identity, it's always the same

these old heads just don't get it maan

Thank you for explaining my gripe with him better than I did by just calling him corny lmao

I mean I like him a lot more than logic but this is accurate

Rebuke is such a great track good lord

  • May 19, 2023

On my third or fourth overall listen atm

    Some fun songs on here
I like that it’s not unnecessarily long

  • May 19, 2023

I feel if this album was 15+ songs I’d never come back to it
A lot of the songs have very similar vibes

Is Rebuke the album version f***ed up for anyone else? The volume & the drums are way off beat compared to the single version for me.

    I'm on AM Canada

Old heads that’s stuck is just stuck. Mfers don’t got open minds. S*** there’s probably younger people that’s stuck in the 2010’s cause they don’t got open minds.

I'm honestly just sick of the discourse if it isn't some bubbling new trap rapper. Anybody who does something a little different or leans more towards boom bap is called boring and dusty. Also everyone says there will never be another Cole, Kendrick, Drake big 3 and most of that is because people just s*** on the newer artists that are trying to make their way. IDK is another one I could toss onto that list. I wasn't just straight out responding to your post either, or I would have quoted you. I skimmed 3-4 of the pages and then made my post. I actually like you as a poster, I think your organization of Dilla stuff had helped me at one point figuring something out.
