True. But we’re not “black”..ur either Ghanaian, Caddo, Zulu, moorish, ethiopian...list goes on..all names that reveal ur exact bloodline which is my point. Being “black” wont get my family’s land back.. but being apart of a tribe with a treaty will & has. U see what I mean? Calling my family black & not what we actually are is erasing my culture. Do u see the problem?

it was already erased because slavery. which is why the term black makes sense for decents of american slaves.

Ur ethnicity if ur a descendant of Ameican slaves is unknown since it's erased. The ethiopian in the uk, ethnicity is Ethiopian.

“Reclaiming our past” is like the very very very first tenet of any fascist or neo conservative and it’s a destructive philosophy to hold, even if it’s as a person who’s been legitimately disadvantaged, since you could uproot and damage those who carry what you claim but innocently

Rather, a far more productive mindset to adopt is to instead develop and build upon what you have, knowing what your potential is in the future. Puts a lot more confidence in yourself and not on things that have been lost to the tides of history.
