Man prison sucks dawg, everyday he’s in there there’s a chance he could be raped, extorted and even killed. Especially with the way his mind works, he’s a troublemaker. How is prison a better option than something like I dunno.. therapy?
He could get intensive inpatient care for his mental wellbeing. I don’t see why you think prison is the best outcome for him because it’s not some cozy place to be. I don’t think they added all of that into this equation. Like I said, it sounds good, I understand where they were coming from but it doesn’t jive well with reality. Hopefully this makes sense.
not sure if him taking seven and then going into therapy would be the best or the worst ending of all time

Def wouldn’t have been better

Final scene is him going to his first therapy session, he sits down and looks across at the therapist

Cut to black

think the whole point of "i'm james mcgill" is that he isn't that troublemaker anymore. he still has his earned status of legend among the people in the prison anyway(what i took from the bus scene)
plus danny brown said cooking is like the best job you can get when you're locked up lol

EXACTLY how I envisioned this
EXACTLY how I envisioned this
It’s my head canon that he uses her as a therapist while serving his 86 years

imagine being Melfi returning to psychology after years of recovery from working with a psycho mob boss and this is your first client

Perfect first client
Since when did the show just become about a choice between 7 or 86 years for jimmy?
Imagine the outrage if Jimmy got 7 years
Like that’s the only punishment anyone ever got in the entire Heisenberg story
I know a lot of soccer moms like Marie would be in shambles

People would have been furious

7, 86, lifetime plus 150. None of that would make a difference
Yall actually thinks this man gives a s*** about eating ben n jerry every friday?
Imagine the outrage if Jimmy got 7 years
Like that’s the only punishment anyone ever got in the entire Heisenberg story
I know a lot of soccer moms like Marie would be in shambles
You saying the show would get post humously canceled?
"Better call saul finale glorifies scamming the law!"

the last minutes of the show before Kim came, with the “Better Call Saul” chant and him being buddy buddy with everyone in the kitchen, seemed to be done to imply that Jimmy would be all good in prison
As for ur issues with the finale at large - I get it. But you have to think. We’ve watched Jimmy absolutely wreck his life with horrible consequences almost 4 times now (shitting through a sunroof, getting Howard killed,|| pursuing Walt, || robbing this guy with cancer) and never once does he learn his lesson, doing the same thing over and over, even after the Heisenberg situation blows up and literally makes him change his identity and life entirety. He knows that if he does what he does best, lying and scamming to avoid his comeuppance, that he’ll be out after 7 years and back to doing the exact same thing. Him confessing is not in Saul’s character - but this is Jimmy now, and he’s tryna do better
That saul chant....I get what they were implying with it but it was so silly and outta place. The message was very hamfisted and hokey, those some merry ass convicts lmao
Not to mention it portrayed him like he was Michael Jackson level world wide celebrity when he was just a viral local lawyer back in breaking bad lol

according to El Camino Jesse and Walt were running the biggest meth operation ever and were all over the news so it’s not a huge leap
now that I'm thinkin' of, finale is basically a modern version of Crime & Punishment
