I don’t understand how any of this is “fan service”. It’s a continuation of Saul’s story, in which he is integral & directly involved with how powerful Heisenberg became.
Showing events he was apart of in BB from his perspective is not “fan service”, especially when the entire show is about showing everything that lead up to him becoming Gene Takovic.
It’s also a great choice from the writers to show the parallels, and how he hasn’t changed at all, it is who he is, which has been a theme of the show from the very beginning.
BCS is "fan service" itself so yeah it's like...okay?

the juxtaposition of him singing that sweet song with a body in the back and a human prisoner next to it, him doing the honking motion at the truck, s*** says so much
he was respectful and sweet at times, but also did disgusting things without a second thought because he was such a natural criminal
also i watched an interview with him and aaron paul and they said the honking motion at the truck was completely improvised by jesse plemons (todd) which makes it even more genius
this scene has to be one the greatest movie scenes in modern film history

Seems like things are progressing so organically, slowly. Up until we see Saul and Kim in the empty office building after he first bought it
We think we are gonna see it all line up perfectly. It’s what we’ve been expecting to see take shape for 6 seasons
but then after Kim leaves him, we cut abruptly and everything has already happened
It was definitely jarring but I thought it was such a bold choice
yeah for sure jarring. i’m starting to get with it more and more, especially after the last episode, i was starting to get worried for a sec lol
