season was good, obviously conquest/thragg battles were big highlights. i haven't read the comics but have a general awareness of where the plot goes/the differences made and i think overall they've done a good job of handling a lot of stuff more sensitively than in the source material. was a little disappointed the debbie plot ended up back where it goes at an equivalent point in the comics but you can definitely tell the comics are targeted at like young men is how i would put it lol.

i know these complaints are kinda boring but animation is def kinda funky at points but it doesn't bother me too much. and i actually like the cleaner art style generally BUT imo it undermines some of the emotional moments too which are really well done from a voice/writing perspective a lot of the time. like i am sick of seeing mark and eve talking about something in their bedroom/on the roof. like this last ep eve talking about getting an abortion and just felt like the style was a little too limited to really carry what was obviously a painful moment/experience for her.

oh yeah and the viltrumite earth invasion stuff is cool/clever. mark imagining various awful things last ep was well done. i think i prefer the ground based fights to the space ones so hopefully more of them for the next while.

Half way through season 2, yeah this show is gonna be one of my all timers

They are doing incredibly well translating this from the comics, i’m so excited to see the rest of it fleshed out on screen. Season 2 and season 4 have been my favorite so far

next three episodes after that are peak tv btw

Never understood why celebs for animation was ever needed especially for kid movies.

Now tbf some celebs have given all time voice acting performances but a kid not gonna give a f*** if Daniel Day Lewis voicing a frog in the next Pixar movie
