The fool is the fall guy but the problems existed both before and after the fool. The Media sells you mass produced hate of the fool because its a great distraction. Its great escapism. when or if Trump is deceased people will celebrate in the street, cry, clap. They did for the death of Osama Bin Laden but nothing CHANGED. The war on terror did not cease in anyway shape or form. They sold you a fictional retelling in zero dark thirty suddenly uncovered that he was watching anime in a house chilling . Its the idea that the problem ceases with the person. When the family of the person is directly profiting and still has a strong control on reality as he can produce a play in a dystopia and instantly trace any phone number even if there is no signal

I just don't think it's doing enough with the Kenny character to justify a reading like this

    It is

he literally says he bought it from poor artist who were performing multiple characters lol . They were essentially performing Agosto boal theater of the oppressed . He has the ability to trace any phone in the world even when she has no signal in the sky or Jamaica and may not even have phone charge . He conveniently gets phone call she is okay at climax of the film? Kenny orchestrated the plot of the entire play in both realities and that’s the point . That’s why their reality is like a a play too and the alarm plays during the credits too it’s a play within a play

    fair play this is hilarious

the play is America . Those outside America know both plays . America views third world countries as the end of the film . Views it as a distant feature when in many ways it’s us now. It’s a movie about American exceptionalism

Yo lmfao this movie was f***ing insane ngl I loved every minute of it

It really reminds me of Dr Strangelove type of humor

    Honestly 10/10 would rewatch

Just outrageously disrespectful to the best satirical film of all time

I didn't know this was a satire film going into it tbh, in fact I didn't know what the f*** I was going into, I just wanted to peep Tom Cruise and seeing him in a fat suit like Tropic Thunder got me intrigued.

That being said I was not expecting to f***ing absolutely love this movie.

    Set design.
    Casting.
    Dialogue.

    Everything was so good.

I also haven't seen that many satires so my only really reference point is Dr Strangelove especially because they share some themes to an extent.

yeah I need you to report back

Dude best idea ever lmfao and honestly that f***ing sequnce or set piece at the European Council was f***ing nuts to watch. I think it might be hands down my favorite moment in film all year.

Aside from everything with Ganesh || which absolutely hilarious. Even the first || war room scene so good.

Also, some of the murals in the background and the symbols in them reminded me of some Denver Airport Conspiracy type of s*** obviously not UFO's lol but those murals were picked for a reason. They also told a tale in some aspect. There was an underlying meaning to it.

Phenoenal movie. Even if I didn't take the tab I don't see how I wouldn't have enjoyed it.

Real again I wish it leaned even more into absurdity . See how society was portrayed during it

Idk if you can even call it a twist since it's revealed so early. It being intentionally left out of marketing doesn't make it a twist to me

Eddington is so much smarter and better than this movie. I hated this and Eddington is one of my favorite films of the decade

I haven’t seen Eddington . Parts of it are very on the nose but something that’s been said for a while but people don’t listen
