In theory im like sure okay but then you hear the beats on TC6 and they’re the most soulless soul samples ive ever heard. Almost sickening to listen to.

Im sure someone can get it down but so far in practice its been bad

If a human stole Alchemist beats (copied the formula) would that be better or worse? is it because someone is making money that would've gone to Alchemist that makes it worse? Or is it because the art itself is being "stolen"?

in a society where art and expression is seen as important (publicly funded...) the threat of AI doesn't matter because making art isn't simply about making a living, it's about human communication and connection... if a computer can produce something that looks "realistic" it has inherent value in this commodified existence of art where making "realistic" things holds the most value, but we don't have to live like this forever, abstractions and emotions are important, the way we view art in countries like the US is so cold and calculated

I think if we take care of that problem and fund programs for everyone to be more involved in creating and viewing "art" then AI wouldn't be seen as a threat it would just be another tool to facilitate OUR expression, in the way we're going AI is a logical next step in capitalism and it is bad for artists that are forced to struggle to pay bills, Alchemist would likely feel a way but he would at least be sheltered from that

Better education and funding for arts is needed, these problems existed before AI too

Like for WHATEVER REASON ai appeals to old people. Between common anecdotes of people’s grandmas and grandpas being fooled by ai to Ye/Timbo/Alc this some old people s***

There may be a bunch of big words in between but it’s no deeper than that. Old people love ai

holy s***. how can such smart artists be so dumb. doesn't even need to be said because we all know this but

comparing ai to PIXAR AND ANIME is one of the worst comparison anyone could make

those are two animation art forms in which hundreds sometimes thousands of top-of-their-field artists put their life into their craft, working tirelessly to bring a project to life. pouring hours into every tiny detail. every single thing we see on screen for that 2 hours had hundreds of hours of craft put into it by anywhere from 100-1000 people

and shes comparing that to one person typing a prompt into an ai site and uploading it to youtube

and in fact its animators at pixar and anime companies, the people shes stupidly comparing ai to, who hate ai more anyone.
