Pram - Dark Island (2003) Post-Rock
I first put this on when playing this new game Far Far West and it was actually so perfect for it I had it on rotation whenever I'd play it, it could really replace the soundtrack
It's because it has this western-ish sound but also in a tongue-in-cheek playful way, with a little sci-fi eeriness going on too which is just spot on for this. I was pleasantly surprised with this one, I think I'll check out their album Helium next. Thanks for the recommendation!

YES! ANOTHER PRAM CONVERT!
Hold up I still gotta type up my review as well
Idk why I always forget about Madlib. I was a huge Dilla fan growing up. Madlib basically kept carrying that torch. Some of these beats are like whirlwinds of sounds. The whole thing is like a fever dream. Run is prob my favorite track by both Ghostface and Jadakiss so that was nice. Song 10 was oddly enough my favorite with its laser beat and barking in the chorus. Also DOOMās voice sounds so good. Hearing all the rappers from the 2000ās on this is like a relic, in a good way. They just donāt make em like this anymore
Fluid album review 1.0
Wouldnāt be surprised if this is a good chunk of peopleās favorite album of all time. I can imagine this what btās listen to in death standing if you understand the theme of the album , and this is another week , probably more so than Color week , where the artists has managed to create a piece of music that sounds exactly like the album cover . Iād frame it as emotional devastation turned into overblown sacred theater. Like the pain became too big for normal songwriting, so the band built a glacier cathedral around it.
Thoughts on body betrays itself
I didnāt hate it. I think unfortunately Iāve been in too much of a passive listening mood these past two weeks. I think it drags on a little much. If it were 3 minutes and the outro of it were like 30 seconds I think Iād be more into it especially since the lyrics repeat - by minute 3 Iām like āokay haunting, yeah but man where are we goingā. Def have the album saved for a rainy day listen.

Armand Harem - Haram

Didnt know who dude was but after listening to the first sing and seeing its an album with The Alchemist i was
Didnt expect a mysterous fella and one of Anthony Fantano strongest and most loyal soldiers to recommend me a rapping and bars album
Overall liked the album, very nice and beautiful instrumentals on this. Very lowkey in a way letting the sample and sounds take over while the good rapping matches the overall vibe. U can tell it was a collab album.
Fav sings: Roaches dont fly, Black sunligh and Falling out the sky with Earl
Rating: @early would have listened to it /10

Yung Beef - Bajo Bajo Mundo

Review:

Latin music is a massive blind spot for me musically, so this was cool. Wasn't sure what to expect based on the 20 or so big d\*\*\*s (many of them cumming!), executions and devil worship among other things on the cover, but this is a great lil ep.
It made me throw my big round ass in a circle, which means it did its job. I honestly liked every track on here, but I think the first half of Gremling/Triste was my favorite. Religion hooked me from the jump too. Currently giving it another listen as I write this- and yep... I'm shaking my big cellulite filled booty.
2/2 undulating cheeks
Edit: wait mambo de lucifer might be the best one on here, I didn't peep the vision first listen but it's hitting nasty now
