Sound bring Alchemist prod
You literally mentioned Days in the East and 0-100 as examples of him reaching some kind of artistic peak and acted like he hasn't made songs as good and even better than those songs since then. Why won't we call you out on such a bullshit statement? It's okay to have a high standard, yes, but don't make them unrealistic — which is what you're doing. He has been consistently hitting those same peaks you mentioned so what's the problem? Every song he drops won't match the quality of his best songs. That goes without saying but it seems to be something you don't understand.
Okay I am seeing where we are truly disagreeing. You like... actually think he has made songs as good as those... in the last 3 years? And again he was releasing loosies/singles of that quality like back to back. The back to back he has done since 2018 have been songs like Money in the Grave, Toosie Slide, Laugh Now Cry Later, What's Next, etc. I don't even know what to say to that.
I don't think it's unrealistic at all for him to make better music than that... I'm sorry? I've already said before I just don't think the ratio of great/amazing mediocre/decent is as good as it used to be. Never said anything about expecting every single song to be Tuscan Leather level or anything.
Look you guys making me go on these weird tangents with your gross misunderstanding of what I am saying. My whole point in the first place was that even considering the amount of music he has released since Scorpion the reason some people are thirsting for CLB might be because they haven't been overall impressive enough music to hold them off for a whole body of work that could potentially be as good or better as his best projects that he made a whopping 6+ years ago. I don't think that's a crazy assumption.
It's not exactly underheard of an artist to do that. Hov released 4:44 after The Blueprint 3 and Magna Carta. Plenty artists have improved overall throughout their careers and made shifts. Sorry for Drake can do the same and still be a fan of his and enjoy the music if he doesn't I guess. Y'all do you.
Hoping we get this on August 6th as rumored. I keep listening to the Fair Trade snippet on a loop 🤣
No disrespect but Sounds like a you problem
The last 4 albums are some of the most listened to music and played albums this decade.
You in the minority.
I know it’s hard to accept but you haven’t liked a project since 2015 it might be you have out grown Drake
And those albums are amazing to his fans and millions of people…once again you in the minority.
All your post come off like you want this white critic bait album that you can show the high score to your friends and hang it on your room wall.
Let me tell you now that’s not gonna happen.
This is what most people on Twitter and here want. They’re really looking for critical acclaim project from Drake (which Drake can just buy if he really cared) rather than a project they actually listen/enjoy to with replay value
If 0-100 came out now y’all would call him a fake mob boss
If hotline bling came out now y’all would be calling him a TikToker
If Days in the east came out now y’all would call him a clown simp
Y’all romanticize those songs now but it would be the same old hater talking points used now

All I did was refer back to the tracks you used as examples of his best songs and YES, he has 100% made songs just as good as those songs since then.
What you seem to be really looking for is the feeling you got when you heard those songs. It's not that he has stopped making good/great music. Drake's pen is still as sharp now as when he made those songs you regard as his best. If anything, he's become a better artist as time has passed.
You don't have to talk down on the people who can recognize the excellence in the music he's making today and act like they have some lower standard for what is good.
For example, any Kanye fan looking to him to make projects as excellent as his first 4 albums will be looking forever. Same with Hov and the excellence of his first few albums. Still, that doesn't mean they can't make GREAT music. You just have to recognize it.
You lose the moment you start comparing albums and wishing for artists to replicate former eras you regard as their best. You will NEVER get that but you can learn to appreciate the greatness in their new music, which seems to be something you don't know how to do.
We can agree to disagree but that's all I have to say.
Lotta weird energy in this thread right now. CLB need to drop so we can end this internal war.

internal wars never ending, we’ll be arguing about why ____ made it over a coveted leak soon enough lol
prediction that drake posts him listening to donda on his story, leads to ye reaching out and producing a song on the album with an old melodic sample that drake spits crazy over
Hahaha you know you know vibes
Still wish drizzy got the lift yourself beat. That would have become one of my favorite songs no doubt.

That's what it seems like after this pic and the Hot Step leaked pic posted by Nicekicks on IG this morning
Things are probably lining up behind the scenes
Who is trying to dictate s***? Am I forcing you to think like me or something like what type of logic do you have man it's so weird. Whatever man losing brain cells trying doing this. Just do yourself a favor and please don't mind my posts from now on. I know they trigger you badly. Some Drake stans really can't take any criticism of the guy it's super weird.
You the one that said most people in their minds regardless of what they say didn’t like his last 4 projects like that. Theres no basis to that
