I couldnt do internet fame man cause if someone edited me into a soyjack id be mad as s***
was ready to blast this nigga but i think those first two videos don’t do him justice
i feel what he’s saying on this video at the bottom. A LOT of people are just into fashion to fit in or impress others while knowing nothing about it. which is completely okay (i’m not into fashion anymore at this point myself, but i don’t act like i am). problem is just and a lot of these people pretend to be

f***

I paid $55 for my Jordan 4 pure money's (legit pair) thank you very much
What's wrong with reddit though? There's some good communities out there in general.
It destroyed enthusiast forums that actually had people who knew what they were talking about and fostered real discussion. Now it's just echo chambers of morons where any dissenting discussion is just downvoted to oblivion.
I still use it but I would 1000% jump back to forums if they came back.
Like we just went “aw heck yeah dude” to Pokémon card collecting but turn our brains off for the idea of sneaker collecting/purchasing authentic items lmao
Is it lame to care for 1 thing or does it go all across the board
A Pokemon card has no function outside of the world of Pokemon tbh.
Wearing clothes crosses a lot more functions with different kinds of people across the world. The price is wildly different as well.
Clothes also indicate social status and style.
Any person can buy a rare Pokemon card that's printed quickly for $10 when they line up for it by chance.

I'm talking about the idea behind pocket policing folks for buying authentic items over inauthentic versions, which both trading cards (specifically and especially Pokemon cards) and sneakers share in value within their culture on this topic.
If it's lame here it's lame everywhere, just as buying solely for attention and validity is.

ya the 2nd point is right and it ties back to his instant gratification point
Like, I was lucky enough to somehow get the og Yeezy 350's for retail when they first dropped. This was back when no one had them so people would actually come up to me and ask about them and gas me up. And ya it was cool, but looking back I wasn't really dressing for myself and the attention I would get from them was liking fading instant gratification.
Losing sneaker raffles and not being able to get every single item I want the second I want it has forced me to find things that are unique to me and that I like way more now that I definitely wouldn't have found if I could have just gotten every hyped sneaker I ever wanted.
