After Hours track made such a big impact on me and so did the short film. It was such an aesthetic and it's weird that it's tied up with Blinding Lights and the other pop snippets. As of now it still feels like 2 different worlds that don't combine.
Edit: I'm a huge fan of Abel. Not b****ing about the music. Just giving my observations.

I don’t care if it’s poppy bro! I love pop music. I just don’t want it to be repetitive. That’s the problem I had with starboy. It was so basic and repetitive. I want layers to where every time I listen to his song, it gets better or I find something new in it. I don’t care if it’s sad or happy vibes on here as long as it isn’t repetitive and basic

Mar 19, 2020DrizzymarleyThe only reason I would dislike this album is if it's some poppy bubblegum music while the whole vibe/aesthetic was a dark, disturbed and kind of lonely tone. If the music doesn't fit to that set tone it would feel so out of place imo
