NunTheWiserThis is a really valid criticism, and I still totally f*** with this song. But I really get this take and can even see it with the song. I’m someone who comes from basically growing up on alternative / emo / indie / hardcore etc, I didn’t really develop a relationship with hiphop until senior year of highschool (I’m early 30s now).While I just generally f*** with Rocky, and I like what he’s doing here it does sort of just feel like indie-rock-lite.
That being said, sometimes an artist just does something simple and it can work. This is a case of that for me, but yeah - definitely not mind blowing at all if you come from this world of music
