It has less to do with ye and more to do with millions of Muslims die and terrible content is pumped into the black community . At a certain point you have to question why . I knew it likely wouldn’t go well even if worded in the most delicate way . It’s still too sad to say nothing

Man I rewatched it recently. Not even bad but gotta be the most overrated movie of the 2020s. It’s like a solid 7.5-8 but people act like it’s a 10.
Ke Huy Quan stole the show though.

Theater experience with packed audience going in blind definitely boosted it

I went into this clueless, off the strength of buzz alone, and it was mad overrated. The movie started off well, but then a good mid-chunk of it is exhausting to watch.

I think there is a bloated section don’t get me wrong where they could have done a lot more characterization to get at central message

I think saying it’s perfect or coming of Christ is wild . It was an enjoyable movie that didn’t take itself too serious

I went into this blind with no idea how the movie would play out and i thought it was really good. It starts out interesting but midway through it starts to lose you with all the chaos, gags and random s***. It really ties it well in the last 30-40 minutes though and makes all the craziness worth it for a big payoff. The writing at the end was genuinely beautiful and Waymond steals the show.
