I didn’t watch Chernobyl either I often don’t like dramatic retellings I prefer documentaries about topics that interest me . Still haven’t seen whiplash either . Me not watching it doesn’t mean I think it’s bad or inaccessible it just doesn’t interest me

me personally I felt like the tone undercut a lot of the "deeper" stuff which was already pretty surface level already

if you not gonna put in the work to watch at least a majority of the nominees tho, why should we respect your opinion on the same level as someone that put in the effort to watch the films?

Lol I always speak from perspective of what I enjoy or notice . My taste doesn’t make me better than others I’m not on here like “ read my letterboxd” lol . I got movies I love that others hate which is why I mentioned cloud atlas . I got favorite movies or tv shows I’ve watched that not only won’t win awards but won’t be talked about . Who cares
