Fam I already named multiverse movies but yāall wanna play semantics ānah but it deals with her consciousā or however you tried to spin it.
Itās absolutely not semantics
But weāre at an impasse
Just know, I donāt respect āitās not originalā as a valid critique
Iāll respect āitās less original than everyone makes it seemā
But āit not originalā aināt it
All you doing is showcasing how many more movies this one could of copiedā¦
Lol youāre arguing against your own point
"copied"
Nigga this isn't a copy of anything
you are literally the only one accusing the daniels of plagarism
never will watch that spiderverse s***. Terrible art design
Oof
Well youāre gonna have a rough time with the future of animation lol
if it was Banshees for 1st time in theaters or everything everywhere all at once I would choose this every time
I am tired of seeing white people in most plots
caring about politics of what race is in movie
thankful i dont think like that
id be looking at everything and getting frustrated or pissed :mjlaff:
and other people are saying "we relate to a movie when it shows them going through what we have gone through" which is GENERATIONAL TRAUMA. Yet no matter how many times we spell it out to you all you can say is "movie sucks "
It's just very odd that out of all the films that have dealt with these themes, this is the one people have latched onto. It isn't even the first American-made Asian-led film in the past 5 years to deal with them, it might not even be the second.
People keep falling back on being able to relate to it, and that's okay, but there's very clearly something more at play here that a lot of lovers of this film for some reason won't admit. People can list out other films that have dealt with the same things and you can in turn say, "I didn't like that" or "I related to this more"... that's completely fine, but I can't believe that it's because this film simply does those things better. This film does feel like a Disney film, it has similar qualities to MCU films, it's fine to admit that, I love the MCU... I don't know why there's such a need for people to argue against it.
Everything is subjective, I'm out here fighting for my life with Babylon while most of this section thinks it's pretentious trash, idk man I need sleep.

thank goodness i dont watch animated movies
caring about politics of what race is in movie

its not about politics its about I personally grow tired of seeing the same faces in all movies in the same to me plots I don't care about or that don't engross me. If they engross you thats great. Support what you care about and don't support what you dont like

Lol bro you can take it however you want āitās not originalā āitās not as original as everyone thinksāā¦same outcome wit me. Which is the film is a big remix of multiple movies
I already broke down too many films this movie copies and Iām sure thereās way more.

What do you feel this has that is like a Disney or MCU film? I am asking for direct examples as I have been for a year

If yāall wanted to say this felt like an 80s adventure film, now that I could get on board with
caring about politics of what race is in movie

Thatās when niggas start losing me in the debate.
āWe not gonna discuss which film is better cus one is white and i donāt care for white filmsā
Disney does not own the Heroes Journey so if what you are typing is listed here use the back space key

"copied"
Nigga this isn't a copy of anything
Fake ending = Vice
They copied scenes from mood for love
See I canāt tell if you trolling or not when you cap like that
you are literally the only one accusing the daniels of plagarism
So you purposely ignoring someone else called out they stole the fake ending from Vice?
Thatās when niggas start losing me in the debate.

Lose me there too

its I don't even care to see a Banshees its not on my radar and to compare the plot of banshees to the plot of this isn't really fair to either movie. Should I have to like or watch every single movie that is nominated for best picture? Cant I not give a f*** about most of them. I watch what I want to watch
I saw Men,Nope and This last year. I don't go to the movies just to go see something I dont want to watch or that doesnt interest me. I also don't speak to the quality of it either because it isnt my taste
yall spend a year b****ing and moaning about a movie that isn't your taste rather than do that I just dont watch the movie

The fake ending didnāt feel like a āmomentā to me lol
It was just a quick little joke

It was also a quick little joke in Viceā¦

Nigga I am referring to the entire movie. You could pick apart any movie including Matrix 1 and say well this this and this has been done before.
When I say copy or I accuse a director of plagarism or reacting to spiderverse or paying oscars I don't have "well vice did that"

sometimes people just want to see what the hypes about
i did and i f***ed around and found out it doesnt live up to the hype
It was also a quick little joke in Viceā¦
I think it would be wild to imply that Vice directly inspired it tho
And I donāt know that people hold other movies to that level of scrutiny
I personally think of The Simpsons Movie, btw
That joke has probably existed since movies were invented haha

Disliking a film and having valid reasonings for disliking it isnāt ābitching and moaningā ā¦itās a discussion, thatās what happens on a forum.
Grow up fam cus what youāre doing is projecting insecurities just cus we donāt feel as deeply for this movie like you do.
It was also a quick little joke in Viceā¦
with all due respect, f***ing Vice isn't inspiring anything man.
sometimes people just want to see what the hypes about
i did and i f***ed around and found out it doesnt live up to the hype
yeah but do we have to hear y'all b**** about something not living up to the hype that you choose to read all the reviews or trailers or lead up forever? How long do y'all grieve hype? The only reason this came up again is because it won awards. We don't control the awards. For some of us it lived up to hype because we set reasonable expectations , went in blind and didn't expect the coming of christ. If you notice things are consistently not living up to hype for you then perhaps you aren't setting realistic expectations
