I swear if we get the story of a super dog before Superman interacting with humanity you will only know pain @MONEYDRAGON
have a feeling Krypto will not survive the film
Adding dogs to just kill them is cringe to me

stakes
young, somewhat cocky (or a little too confident might be better to say) superman who thinks he can save everyone gets humbled by this encounter

I know but tropes are tropes
I care more about villain and world than a krypto be honest
i agree, but if no dog now then when would they introduce him imo. feel like it'd be forced in a future movie, if their plan is to have Krypto at some point in this story
Streets saying krypto is in the Supergirl: woman of tommorow comic
maybe he's her dog and she arrives with him

first part is true but ya it's weird knowing that that's being made into a movie as well
I'm the opposite I think a big part of why Superman and Batman both have had issues in the present is the fear of using their expanded cast of characters.
My biggest complaint is the recycling of characters, villains, plotlines and tones.
So this is a big step in fixing all that
Don't get me wrong I love supermans world for the most part like Pete, Lana, the sailor, his villain gallery, Dan Turpin, Emil Hamilton and many others, I just kinda get bored with the whole "last kryptonian except for his cousin and his dog and this clone"

Same with batman.
D*** is batman but nice
Barbara is batman but a girl
Batwoman is Batgirl but a woman
Jason is d*** but more serious
Tim is d*** but slightly less serious than Jason
Kelly is Barbara if Barbara was chuck from rugrats
Damian is Bruce if Bruce was born as batman

i don't necessarily disagree with you, but I definitely would like to see the batfamily in live action at some point and I think it would be refreshing to see them instead of a typical oh its just batman hanging around situation
Supergirl
Powergirl
Kon El
Jonathan Kent
The other super boy
The dog
His other son
The other other superboy
Steel
Cyborg superman
The other superman clone with the goggles
Bizarro
Zod

Superman villains I'd like to see
Mongul
Brainiac
LIVEWIRE
Metallo
Volcano
Maxima
Darkseid (as a Superman villain
)
Parasite
Lobo
Social constructs and institutions that affect society
The police
Krypto in Supergirl I was more for
Could just be a flashback to krypton with krypto and supergirl tho

Eh it's kinda like the whole "Batman is an orphan with no family" it works as a starring point for me and as a jumping off point but the real development comes when that idea is shaken.
I see it as a part of their characters the lone survivor who now must raise and help new lone survivor's. In Batman case it's his Robin's and in Supermans it's his cousin, clones pet and his eventual child.
To me it's an important milestone if you're gonna do a long running Superman
