I'm the opposite I think a big part of why Superman and Batman both have had issues in the present is the fear of using their expanded cast of characters.

My biggest complaint is the recycling of characters,villains,plotlines and tones.

So this is a big step in fixing all that

Between Krypto in this Supergirl getting a film and Damien being in Batman I'm happy the films are starting to actually reflect the diversity of stories in the comics.

Superman been talking to the same f***ing people in his films for almost 60 years now gonna be nice to see a character who hasn't been on screen ever now just give me Brainiac as a villain

Krypto the fear is more uncanny valley of a talking super dog in a real world or whatever world he is creating. Then everything that goes into it. I am not some sort of dog hater. I have had a dog and I get that it will humanize Superman some as a character.
