I wonder if the box office performance will make DC shift their strategy a little moving forward. Coming out the gate with arguably your heaviest hitter, only doing no more then $600M, and then seeing the next two films on your plate be Supergirl and Clayface can’t inspire hope from a financial perspective.
I wonder if they fast track the Superman “sequel” and Brave & the Bold to try to get both to release within the same year
I doubt it, dc studios is its own thing and is outside of WB meddling and it seems as long as it makes around 500-600 they'll be happy due to the bad brand damage from the dceu

Yup. I think WB is aware that they need to just focus on regaining the trust of the general public, instead of immediately expecting to make a billion dollars from these movies
If they can consistently keep making good films, then I’m sure the box office gains and public interest will start increasing as time goes on

Clayface could end up making a nice profit as long as WB is smart with their budget
Horror films are notoriously cheaper films to produce, and the lead of the film isn’t an A-lister so I doubt they will have to spend much money on his contract .
It shouldn’t be a problem for them to keep the budget under $100 million
Black Adam shirt
We really almost got stuck with the rock black Adam DCEU
Like I said this is Snyder cult level of delusion
wtf is stopping a meta human from traveling lol

So even though INTL #s aren’t impressive, WB seems happy with it’s performance so im happy we finally got a Superman with positive reception and won’t have to go through another 10+ years of DC getting killed lmao

Yup, Gunn said they would consider $600+ million a success. I think they just wanted this film to restore the DC brand
The real box office test will be Wonder Woman and Brave and the Bold
