Yeah so, I love this. I came out of the theater yesterday happy, but I knew I was seeing it again today so I held off on posting my thoughts. I can’t remember the last time a movie in this genre made me feel anything remotely close to what this makes me feel. At one point I had tears welling up in my eyes because it was so incredible to see an earnestly hopeful world. I love how the messaging of this movie is so in your face and on the nose, yet it never feels artificial. That’s such a delicate and thin line to balance on and James Gunn does it masterfully. To anyone saying that Gunn doesn’t get it, or that he let things get away from him, I couldn’t disagree more. You don’t make this movie by accident.

The Batman is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too grounded to be in this universe. Let it be its own thing. We’ve needed some live action fantastical Batman for a long ass time now

What's funny is that when I saw him in Hollywood I said "oh he makes me think of Superboy

as someone that was not particularly moved by any of the trailers, cgi, or any of the reveals for this movie....... this s*** f***ing blew me away

it was visually stunning, the cast was perfect all across the board, even my worries of there being too many heroes in here were quickly alleviated as they all served their role and didnt take away attention from superman as a character. and the best part, supermans actually saving people!!!

this is the first gunn movie i ever seen and he made a damn good first impression for me. im sold

also i knew this going but thank GOD this wasnt an origins movie

just got straight to the point and still showed us who superman was as a person
