Probably, kinda suprised by the feedback. it felt incredibly sterile, messy and very outdated

This is mostly because they did an amazing job with the marketing and marketed the hell out of it.
I just saw it last night. It’s a good movie, I didn’t love it though. As a breath of fresh air for DC on screen and a reintroduction for the character to general audiences, it definitely succeeds. It’s also probably the most faithful comic book to live action we’ve ever seen.
But I did have some issues with it. The pacing, for one. The film moved at a breakneck speed the entire way through and I would’ve appreciated some more scenes to just let the characters breathe for a minute. The farm scene was great but I was hoping we got a few more of those throughout the movie.
My next issue isn’t really a gripe with this movie particularly but moreso with cinematographer Henry Braham’s style: I’m not really a fan of how he films action. This is now his fourth comic book film in which I didn’t like the way the action was filmed: The Suicide Squad, Guardians 3, The Flash, and now this.
My last major gripe was the third act. It felt too weightless, it was just flying and punching and crashing into objects; there was no real tension for me in the final battle whatsoever.
But the characters were written well, the acting performances are all great, and visually this film is amazing to look at. I also LOVED the statement they make on Israel. Good on Gunn and DC for having the balls to do that in a film this big.
I’d give it a solid 7/10.
Yea I thought niggas we’re overhyping the Israel comparison but it fr is pretty blatant
I know James want to make games set in the DCU
So making this Clark’s origin into a game would be perfect
Tutorial levels could be him in Smallville gaining his powers
Then he’s unleashed into the world later on with his full set
My one gripe visually would be wanting more wide shots of Supes flying, the top gun POV style felt a lil too much sometimes

we need a good superman video game
It's been 19 years since they've made a solo Superman game man
Gunn and his DOP said the action was going for this

You can see a lot of GOTG3 in this and now Superman
