The crazy thing too is, Peter’s foundational “relatable” traits are all taken from Clark Kent and put in a teenage context
may be true but you know what they say
It’s not about who does it first but who does it the best
I’m not even rooting against Superman, DC just has a problem translating their hero’s on movies in a way to make ppl truly care about them
Every hero that’s not named Batman that is. I really enjoy most DCs animated movies tho and hope they can capture some of that in their films

That’s the thing, this isn’t a who did it first/did it right issue. It’s to make the point that the movies are dropping the ball on making Superman relatable if his direct offspring in Spider-Man is seen as relatable in comparison

I hear you & that makes sense
What tone do you think would suit best for a new iteration of Supes? Like Snyder already gave us a gritty version & we seen a more campy version in the past
should they continue one of these paths or try something else?
It's representative of the main theme of who superman is a God with powers beyond most but in spite of all the s*** he prolly could do in a moment like that whether it be stopping a bank robbery, fighting a super villain he's on top of a building talking down a young girl.
Superman in his foundation was a progressive hero and a man of the working class who fought societies issues along with supernatural beast hut with all his power he's never distant from his humanity.
At his core his stopping supervillains comes from the fact he's trying to help people.
Yup!
And even though I feel a way about Max Landis in his run, including that bit about naming the villains because at the end of the day we have to humanize them because they are human, is a great point
A lot of heroes wouldve caught the girl and just put her back down. Superman tryna connect with her core
That's such a crazy tak because Spidermans heroism comes from his failure to do the right thing whereas Supermans comes from being an immigrant raised by and around poor people and having to come out of that.
In film I can maybe understand you getting white savior vibes because the Snyder films suck and he has a deep Christian conservative belief system but the cartoons!?.
It just goes to show image works and how desperately Superman needs someone to redo his cause Spiderman is more likely to be a government agent then Superman inflation in the films and comics Spider-Man has worked with he feds alot more.
I never even thought about how much Peter has worked with the government before but you right
I mean the idea behind Spider-Man is that anyone could be him or see themselves in his shoes (atleast that’s what’s been portrayed through film & current media) Yes he fails but that just adds to him being relatable & human
Never felt that way about Supes
If what you saying is the true Superman then yeah he definitely needs a redo in characterization on the big screen cause I can not relate to him at this point
"In the end the world didn't need a super man, just a brave one"
I never even thought about how much Peter has worked with the government before but you right
Peter like the first nigga to work with the feds even his parents was feds that nigga def cointelpro
Need a bit of all of this

Imagine they made this the first teaser trailer
What’s the story context?
I don't like "Legacy" in the title, seems appropriate for a 3rd or 4th movie, not the first one
What’s the story context?
It's just him finding time to save a single person
in the middle of him doing crazy feats and only having less than a year to live

Reminds me of homecoming where the title is kinda meta
Reminds me of homecoming where the title is kinda meta
yeah I was just about to come in here and say that. I feel like he's gonna have an MCU Spider-Man situation with the titles and stuff
Ahhhhh
Hopium is a scary d***
Supes with trunks CONFIRMED
was in my head fan casting giancarlo esposito as lex luthor until i found out that he basically does that role in the boys
i’m depressed to say the least
Need Bailey Bass as Lois Lane
Only if Clark is brown.
The white hero beige love interest s*** need to stop
It sucks cause I feel like this might be related to the harrasement he faced and the fact Bryan Singer was the director....
