missed a lot of the point of the comics, Rorschach especially
Crazy to me the show was as good as it was. Like very surprising

ive been meaning to rewatch - i loved the mirror faced guy in the squid shelter tho
i did, and i hated the changes
It would be so hard to cinematically adapt the artists on the island creating the giant squid.
I had no problem with the changes
Readers hated the final issue of watchmen when it first dropped in the 80s

I wasn't surprised at all. Lindelof don't miss

is there some evidence for that? not sure I care about the early reception of a bunch of dudes in their LCS

i feel like someone could write an interesting essay on how the failures to adapt watchmen can be mapped onto the fact it was the work of a sweaty english anarchist being adapted by an american liberal
Bet I read more than you lol especially when it comes to Superman
Doubt it

I mainly use the dc comic app. $12 a month and you get like all of them. Can’t beat it.

Usually hate the whole ambiguous ending thing in a series but it was so well done. Leftovers ending too actually
Def need to rewatch as well. I think I got fully sold on the flashback episode where she sees her grandfather’s career
I thought that was so interesting, I wish it wouldve fleshed out the relationship between him and silk spectre

Alan Moore himself said watchmen was written as a comic and wouldn't work in any other format
I think snyder did the best job he could almost directly adapting it but changing what he needed to to make it work as a movie

i think more my issue is that the adaptation in and of itself was misguided because you can't condense a story that complicated into 2 hours

The only reason I'm looking forward to an upcoming Green Lantern project
