i thought of a banger opening for a superman movie the other day - james snyder, or zach gunn if you're reading this hit me up
I think its framed odd color wise I like the villain in back its just frame very odd its not trash just really random dropping of images, timing and campaign for me
i dont invalidate someone loving it
either way I am eventually seeing it
U right it’s definitely very odd choice. I just like how casual it seems with him putting on his “work boots” while some wild s*** is happening in the back. Like just another day at a blue collar job to him

lol exactly that was kind of our reaction at work when we saw it.
Like "I am too cool to look at explosions I am calm I know what I got to do "
Damn. So this thread no longer a safe place for anticipation

nah we still anticipating lol its just some thought some jokes were deeper cuts and escalated something that would have chilled. I just blocked them so now there is nothing to react to
What has me interested in this is how much they're gonna pull from All-Star Superman. I'm not the biggest fan of Supes, and honestly I find him annoying/corny af most times. But something about All-Star Superman was just a very delightful read, and I gained a newfound appreciation for the character(s) of Clark Kent and Kal-El.
Still not my favorite superhero, but All-Star Superman is definitely enough to convince even the most staunch of Superman haters to root for him.
From a marketing standpoint, I honestly don’t think showing Clark is that big of a deal. General audiences won’t care and that’s who marketing is generally intended for. The comic nerds who ask to see Clark’s everyday life or a humanized Superman are right to ask for it but they’re the type who are watching the movie regardless and don’t need to be marketed to
i think the key here for me is i'd like to see that distinction vanish. Clark being superman is equally as important as superman being clark.
It makes more sense in other movies and other heroes to have more of a dual identity but superman is the first superhero he is the thing that inspired everyone else, and his perspective on living on planet earth when he can hear/see practically everything going on is more important i feel to his characterization rather then what costume he's wearing

that is literally all I am saying and I got some nerds like "look at this comic frame look at it the movie is named clark not superman"
so I basically give up y'all got it

My post was speaking from a marketing standpoint. There’s no need to tease Clark Kent in the marketing is what I’m saying because that isn’t what will draw audiences especially general audiences who they mainly need to be marketing towards. Like I don’t think we’ll ever see a Clark Kent character poster ever lol
yeah im anticipating a steaming pile of krypto's dogshit
I’m anticipating a good time at the theater and a fun new universe
Supergirl coming soon!

Don’t James Gunn movies have a good track record?

I too hope Clark gets his shine in the movie like y’all are saying though. Idk a lot about Superman lore (missed out on the animated series). I have seen every live action movie even the bad ones

Will say I am afraid he will make it too comedy based. Hope he cuts backs on jokes.

Superman's hard to translate to movies forsure. I f*** with the christopher reeves' ones a lot but if you've got time/interest you should hit up the series. Best DC media ever produced imo
