cool, just got the book yesterday

GRRM wrote ALOT of lore and backstory for this universe, whereas there is nothing written about what happens after GOT

So it’s much easier and safer to adapt stories based on stories that are already made .
We’ve already seen what happens when showrunners drift away from George’s source material, and it was the worst thing they could’ve ever done lol

Out of all of the Game of Thrones lore I know, I haven't learned the Duncan and Egg story it will be nice to go into this blind.

A sequel means they gotta start making up s*** like they did with the last 2 seasons, so s*** is gonna be mid for sure

I read the first book in 2018 but opted to not continue until the final two (or final one, if he changes his mind about writing two) dropped. six years later I'm glad I didn't keep reading honestly.
