y figaro had to ruin such a good thread with his disgusting avi
luv u
It's a very deep album, can't just vibe to it mindlessly. Would feel disrespectful.
I feel you bro.
You have to prepare yourself for the emotional rollercoaster.
this was also the album that showed me how important drums are to music. how powerful and immersive the music can become when the drums are done right.
💯 oh man, good observation!
The drums on Coldest Winter
will never tire of them!
for me, it taught me how the bass can control the entire mood of a song and how empty s*** can sound without it.

I used to think this way too but even tho the album is aboutvery depressive subjects and literally heartbreaking kanye still being conscious and in peace with his feelings so rightfully gives me power and encourage. I mean I can cry to 808s all night but I'd be happy about it the way kanye embracing his feelings is really amazing and inspiring to me and not even mentioning how good and simple he is expressing his true feelings like this with such well done musicallly art of piece

Definitely Ye's most underrated work. When kids discover his discog in a few decades many will think it was his magnum opus.

Exactly! It makes you appreciate the layers and details that go into fleshing out songs. Man, it's impossible not to love Ye

I agree. This is also my mom's favorite Ye album. She even asked me to put this on her ipod years ago.

I remember how confused ppl were when this album came out..
"Oh look, Ye went emo", "he went pop, he sold out"

I was thinking "shut your corny asses up

People were pissed about it and I remember kids at school calling him a "sellout" (which made no f***in sense even then) and going as far as to compare him to T-Pain, which sounds funny as hell now, but this was 2008, and T-Pain was still big then. But I also remember the hits getting a s***load of radioplay and the music videos being played on MTV and BET A LOT
@jesuisadorable man, what a powerful way to end the album. god bless that man!
