I read the whole thing twice and I understand where they are coming from. I come from one of these neighborhoods and I still have the same beliefs I had before. People are educated but their stubbornness and disdain for people outside of the party will be the death of them.

If you vote for the same old democrats no matter what then you will never get change. It sounds like the party has done some good in their communities but to restrict it from criticism like a religion is ignorant. We can love Obama but if we can’t challenge his positions then we will end up exactly where we are where these problems affecting their communities continue.

I was incredibly disappointed not because I think my area of the county is uninformed. We just refuse to look at the facts and make changes as a result. All my family went for Hillary and she lost. Now they’re doing it again and it’s dragging all of us down. Just because they read Bernie’s plans doesn’t mean they are being open-minded to them. I talk to plenty of southern Blacks on the campaign trail and they may “know” the ideas but they never truly considered them. They decided on Biden before the year 2019. That’s dangerous and ignorant in my opinion.

It’s the same debate I have when I bring up education or health rankings in the South. We all know the South is dead last in these metrics, so in a sense we’re not “uninformed” but if you refuse to think outside the box or to make changes to improve these things, what else can you call it? It’s stubborn, it’s ignorant and it’s incredibly frustrating.

There’s no way young people are too busy to vote, but not too busy to go to concerts, hang out with friends, skip classes on some days, go to parties, and go shopping. Every state has absentee ballots (most of them have no excuse required), and even in the some of the states that Biden won the heaviest there were open primaries so you didn’t even have to be a party member to register. There are no excuses, young people just didn’t care enough to vote
