Not wanting to pay for your college debts and your healthcare doesn’t make anyone stupid. It just means they don’t give two s***s about you
I would still call that stupid when their family member get sick and repeatedly put a go fund me. And I'm in Texas and I see it all the time
We live in a country where that's the norm to depend on donations
just read that Klobachar is still on the ballots in MN despite dropping out
Yeah and that helps Bernie
one of the s***tiest things about the DNC ganging up on Bernie is that he looks crazy to the average man for calling them out for it when he's 100% correct.
aka exactly what the RNC did to trump four years ago.
the wildest thing to me is that you are all still so surprised about the parties being this blatantly corrupt when its been in front of our faces 2 election cycles in a row now

ehh I don't love the 'you are all' talk when this forum (or at least regulars in this sxn) is generally pretty informed and saw this coming. the general population is a different story.

This doesn’t make sense to me tbh. Most middle class Americans have employers that provide and pay for insurance.
My company pays for 95% of the monthly costs with full insurance. Can cover my family (if I had one).
guys who are still supporting warren are the most cucked and miserable specimens on this planet. who you tryna f*** dudes. bunch of hollywood twitter clout chasers are her only big base left
Gore: moderate, lost
Kerry: moderate, lost
Obama: ran as progressive, won
Clinton: moderate, lost
Biden: moderate, landslide for Trump

Yeah but some people have jobs where they don’t get as much, plus they make too much to qualify for Medicaid and too little to cover expenses out of pocket. And in a lot of cases even having a major operation would require more than they can afford, even with insurance

Al gore only lost because bushs brother was playing games in Florida. Even aside from that he won the popular vote

biden getting the nom is the best thing trump could hope for. he's more senile than trump, awful policy record that makes him look like a republican, and he'll make hunter biden an even bigger media spectacle after he survived impeachment
will def play up anita hill too

Even then, let’s say they’re paying out of pocket up to 10k (10k is the worst I’ve seen and I think that’s more rare) That’s not too terrible compared to what the surgery will cost.
Out of cost Max’s I’ve seen usually have been around the 2-3k out of pocket range. I’ve been relatively healthy and so has my direct family so I’m not that educated on this topic though so I can be totally wrong.
Also, poor people can just apply for Medicaid /Medicare (I forgot which one)

The a average cost of health insurance is over 10k a year. It’s taken out of most people’s check pre tax so most don’t realize how much they’re paying. But saying most employers pay for it is not true, they provide it but the employees are paying for it.
yall think bloomberg calls it quits after today?
May his ego and fortune sail above the Dem Establishments will.
Yeah and that helps Bernie
potentially, but the fact she’s endorsed Biden but still on the ballot means that her supporters who haven’t realized she dropped out yet means they wouldn’t have realized she had endorsed Biden, either, which means they could still be probable votes for bernie
but i mean you right ofc that her typical supports would shift to biden regardless of her saying so, but still

All of the companies I’ve applied to (decent sized companies) all have insurance plans that the employer paid a big chunk of the premium. I’m sure there are some s*** companies but people need to take benefits into consideration when working at these companies.
You’re probably right tho , I just haven’t seen it (I’ve never met anyone with insurance issues)

or maybe they shouldn’t have to at all

Poor people can apply to Medicare/Medicaid, but if they make too much they can be denied (especially in the republican states that want to cut social services as much as possible). When people have no Medicare cause they make to much, and their job doesn’t provide insurance, or at least sufficiently. They end up with hospital
bills that they can’t afford and drives them into bankruptcy. All of the democratic candidates are advocating for universal healthcare of some kind, there’s a reason every other industrialized country has it

Keyword is middle class employers. And even then not all plans cover all cases. And don't forget that insurance at the end of the day is still profit, so somewhere down the line they will try to put most of the cost to the general public

agreed, i didnt mean this forum, my bad. i meant gen pop and a lot of bernie supporters on twitter. baffles me that some of them act like this is some shocking development. we all knew it was going to happen

only surprise for me was that it was behind Biden and not Bloomberg or Buttigieg

Im surprised because it seems like this was the plan all along. It seems like they’ve kill all momentum.
