That doesnt mean we dnt need her support nigga what

Im asking you honestly in a sanders admin you honestlt believe the warrens and kamalas wouldnt be the most likely votes he can count on?

    Yall are delusional man

people have tried to explain to you ITT before that this isnt how it works but you clearly are too much of a "policy wonk liberal" to understand where actual change comes from

you really dont get it, do you

i tried explaining to you that the west wing is a work of fiction

bernie is only winning because he doesnt involve himself in the right-wing liberal establishment, why do you think getting liberal hacks like kamala who dropped out months ago onboard would be a good strategy

No bcus yr here talking about political theory s*** that makes no sense in the application i brought up

Like the funny thing is tht Ye statement was right but just made no f***ing sense in real world case studies. Like bro we’re all bernie stans here no one disagrees w that

Im thinking about the best way he’d be able to get his s*** thru

The point stands. UK, canada etc social democrat parties often make deals with liberal parties that’s all i said bruh not any esoteric argument about the virtues of liberalism

she's not a bernie stan and the best and only way to get s*** through is through a grassroots movement , not appointing some liberals into cabinet positions.

the "best way" is the way it has always worked, through large mobilization of the working class into direct action (strikes, marches, community organizing, etc.) "politicking" doesn't do anything.

the wild thing is that bernie, centrist that he is, has never advocated for compromise with right-wing liberals as a means of change which is part of the reason his campaign was successful in the first place

    right lmao.

i just have to seriously wonder if half the bernie supporters in here actually realize what his plan is. these liberal pundits have been asking him for years how he plans on getting anything passed and i don't think ive ever heard him say "we'll put kamala harris in our cabinet"

Never said he would but again literally dnt take it from me but from his own campaign

Yes expect progressive picks for labor and environment positions im
Just telling y’all don’t be suprised when you see a cory booker for attorney general or a jay inslee or some s***

The reality is there are more of them than “us”

Bernie obviously understands and is willing to make the signaling when appropriate so they can get s*** done

You niggas are more interested in internet points than winning i swear

    Ffs

I'm not a Bernie supporter. I'm also not that closely aligned to most people in this sxn. I understand that Bernie essentially needs this liberal coalition to get anything done in a theoretical presidency; it's an inherent and unfortunate crutch in our system. My point is simply that by cooperating, it's not Bernie that really wins, he gets pulled toward the establishment he's cooperating with, not vice-versa.

I meant a signalling of friendship in general man which he has literally done

So whether a cabinet pick here snd there or working with gillibrand types to whip votes in the senate

Like do y’all really think he’ll replace 60 senators this fall?

Like bruh he has to work w what he’s got

Obviously there are huge swarths of the dem elected officials tht are borderline right wing but some have shown the ability to follow the winner

Was just saying it’s v important bernie hss started pulling in those more center “left”blue state dems

It doesn't matter how many senators support his agenda because his agenda is not dependent on having however many votes

Bernie Sanders isn’t “center left” in Europe, he’s just regular left now. The actual left of the Cold War has been effectively driven to irrelevance

No kidding... People have been greatly exaggerating how “left” most of Europe is, pretty much just in order to frame the cliched “OMG Dems arent left-wing!” argument.

They’re really not left for internet loser socialist standards lol. The social democrats of Sweden even said Bernie was going too far and endorsed Pete instead. The green new deal will effectively nationalize energy and major transportation, Medicare for all will almost eliminate private insurance, and his plan for the internet will bring that under mostly public control too. That’s not even to mention his even more extreme meausures for bringing worker control to corporations than Jeremy corbyn. Even the most progressive social democracies aren’t going that left
