You also have to think, black people have very conservative ideologies. Like if the Republicans weren't so racist we'd see a lot more black Republicans. I believe there's even a Maya Angelou quote about that. So I wouldn't be surprised to see them vote for someone moderate. Klobuchar, mayo Pete, maybe Bloomberg. But I believe Bernie will do well with the younger black voters.

Nah I disagree, black voters line up with the Democratic Party on the issues, especially economically. After all, black voters began to leave the Republican Party to join the New Deal coalition (despite its inherit racism and appeasement to Dixiecrats) because of FDR's (lies) about economic inclusion.

Older black voters definitely prefer establishment Democrats though, I assume because of percieved electability. S***, they even preferred Hillary over Obama in 2008 before he won Iowa. rn Bernie has far more black support than Mayo Pete, younger black voters want change and older black voters are more familiar with him than Mayo.

Just an interesting thing to note, prior to the civil rights movement, there was a large chunk of black intellectuals who leaned conservative or took part in what we now remember as paleoconservativism. The split in the Harlem Renaissance between conservatives, marxists, and liberals has been mostly erased by white liberal college professors who want to retroactively frame black history as aligned with paternal white liberalism. There was more kinship among paleoconservatives and marxists than there was between any of those two and liberals, but that's been mostly erased outside of references in literature we have archived.

Is this scrutiny really fair tho? It's not his fault that the CIA is running the Democratic Party. He'll bump into former coworkers and staff if he wants to or not.

If he doesn’t win nomination absolutley. He wont, but this would be good leverage to use against tom perez so they wont f*** with him anymore.

Though the Democrat establishment would probably love to have Trump reelected

I’d like him to do it just to piss off the establishment, but then again they would just blame their loss on his third party candidacy and take no responsibility. At least when Pete loses on November their failings will be on full display - tho Bernie will get blamed again for not rallying hard enough for him

Now that I think of it, if Marco Rubio has run for President independent of the republicans, and bernie ran as a fourth option, there really might have been a chance bernie won. Trump and Hillary were so unpopular it might have driven people to vote for other (established) candidates instead

  • Feb 10, 2020

Wait a minute... so Hillary gets 4 more SDEs than Bernie, which gives her 2 more delegates, and Bernie gets 2,000 more votes and only 2 less SDEs than Pete yet still gets 2 less delegates than him? Democrats really some opps

I will say tho, it would be rather interesting if Pete won the general by the electoral college and trump won the popular vote, just to see how each sides opinion on the matter will completely flip

Someone mentioned before, but if Bernie is the nominee Bloomnerg will definitely run a 3rd party campaign, despite him saying he wouldn't.
