This is a must cop imo, he’s going wild with the merch. Got a t shirt and the poster so far might just frame the vinyl slip too

Yeah i’m broke as f*** but I had to get that poster. No brainer. Hopefully they ship around the date they say since it’s so limited

Lmao i bet they waited for release to just send them all at once. They probably have mad orders and were not prepared. But after the frank vinyl fiasco with the Blonde vinyl / Endless merch and waiting like half a damn year for Ooz merch after the postal service straight up lost it , i can deal with anything at this point

Idiotic complaint and baseless if you have ears, his drums were probably the most critical part of the production the nigga doesn’t play when it comes to them.

id probably like the album more too if i bought a shirt + a poster + a vinyl

The mix and the patterns are pretty repetitive over the stretch of the album. And its the same kit throughout I think. I think the drums on each song sound fantastic individually but I’d like some variation

Tumor really put Romanticist -> Dream Palette -> Super Stars back to back in sequence and canceled out any need for artists to attempt to put out projects for the rest of the year

  • Apr 4, 2020

better every time i listen to it. beginning of the day i was saying top 5 now i think it may have to be #1. going from hands of love to this is crazy what an artist

Agreed. Sequencing throughout is perfect. It’s a serious strength i found through so many straight through listens now. It gives every song a chance to shine and everything ebbs and flows perfectly. Like that entire opening run of Gospel For a New Century into Medicine Burn into Identity Trade into Kerosene is so well paced

Bruh imagine dev and yves doing some negro swan type s*** but with some noisey, rock elements would be ridiculous

His songwriting has always been like that it’s entirely the same on sithol, just like how 90% of his songs start off with a pronoun lol

oh okay, gotcha. i'm not too familiar with his other work, but if it's just a stylistic choice, i have more respect for it.

Dev made an Ig post years ago with him yves and Ian in it and caption “should we drop the mixtape?”

Then the nigga just deleted it and they never commented on it again.... 🤨

Yeah it’s just his style of writing I guess, he changes small things like he might say “they” on one verse then change it to “you” on the other like on strawberry privilege. Who knows how this man’s mind works. For me, the subtlety really emphasizes his lyricism and make it more impactful because he does repeat a lot of things but his cadences grow more intense or he just goes from being somber to straight up wailing the lyrics like on Recognizing The Enemy and it heightens how traumatic of an effect it should have. But I can understand why some people would be turned off by it, valid complaint than most I see he gets
